About us / Company history

At this point we want to give to a brief insight about our history and some key data of the company evolution:

1982:

The company Lang Werkzeugbau has been founded by Josef Lang.

1985:

Management take-over by the current CEO Günter Lang.

1986:

Change of company name to LANG Werkzeugtechnik GmbH
Main focus of production is the manufacturing of steel-injection die-casting parts and hydraulic clamping fixtures.

1989:

Construction of the current office and production building near the airport of Stuttgart.

1995:

The product range has been extended by plastic- and aluminium parts.

1997:

Company’s „break-through“ with the market launch of the patented Vario-Tec system at the EMO tradeshow in Hannover.

Ab 2000:

In the following years we solely concentrated on the development of new innovative workholding products. In a short time-span further patented products, such as the Clean-Tec fan, the Spin-Fix fine boring system, the well-known Grip-Fix holding system with its Makro-Grip centre vices and the Quick-Point zero-point clamping system and also Moto-Speed high speed cutting spindle, were released.

2007:

Presentation of the Eco-Tower machine tool automation system at the EMO trade show in Hannover. The system offers an inexpensive start in automation combined with a minimum of electronic and mechanical complexity. Themed “Make the day to the night” the efficiency of the machine tool can be increase whereas personnel cutback is out of question. Main focus is the reduction of non-productive set-up time/costs.

2009:

Building completion of the plant in Holzmaden (near Aichelberg). With that building new production and administration facilities have been created especially for the range of automation products. Furthermore the place provides space for further expansion in the future.


Presentation of the Eco-Compact machine tool automation system at the opening ceremony of the plant in Holzmaden.

 

2010:

Extension of the plant in Holzmaden with further space for assembling of automation systems, as well as the completion of a new engineering office.
